Elonkierto Agricultural Exhibition Park

Elonkierto

Address: Ojaistentie 40, 31600 Jokioinen

Elonkierto is a free exhibition park for rural natural resources. It’s open to all and free of charge. In Elonkierto you can learn how humans and nature work together, and how rural cultures and novel approaches are applied to practice. The park features well-maintained walking trails, seasonal flower displays, and open landscapes that highlight the beauty of rural Finland. Elonkierto combines education, nature, and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for families, garden enthusiasts, and anyone interested in agriculture and sustainable farming.

The park hosts a variety of events throughout the year. In the summer, cows, horses, sheep, goats and chickens graze in the park, and the barn café Makasiini serves visitors coffee, refreshments, ice cream and pastries.

Elonkierto, which covers approximately 19 hectares, was established in 1998 and was maintained until 2019 by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). At the beginning of 2020, the management of the park was transferred to the association "Elonkierron Ystävät". Nowadays the park is maintained mostly with volunteer work, sponsorships and fundings from European Union.
